The premise for this valley trail expansion is to create a direct, safe and eloquent route from the very popular valley trail connections to the main entrance of the Meadow Park Sport Center in Whistler BC.
Elements of this plan included a re-aligned trail that allows pedestrians and cyclists to access the entrance to the center without having to walk down the center of the road. This space is host to a large variety of users, and the landscape plan catered to all of them by providing a safe, functional, and engaging route to the acclaimed Meadow Park Sports Centre.
The entrance of the centre includes upgraded seating, new planting, lighting, public art and a re-located bus shelter. Circulation throughout the area was largely facilitated through the use of material changes and line painting.
